BIOTIN ( VITAMIN B7/H )
BIOTIN ( VITAMIN B7 / H )
What is Biotin?
According to some people, biotin, also known as beauty vitamin, can be taken from many essential nutrients naturally, or it can be taken as a dietary supplement in the form of capsules or tablets.
Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin called Vitamin B7 or vitamin H. It converts carbohydrates and fats into energy. It performs the coenzyme function for fatty acids, amino acids and glucose metabolism in the body.
Biotin Production in Our Body
Biotin plays an important role in the development of our cells. Since biotin dissolves in water and mixes with blood, it cannot be stored and excess is excreted through the urine. In the body, biotin is produced only by bacteria, naturally found in the intestines.

and in whole grain foods Biotin is found.
How to Use Biotin?
Biotin can be taken from nutrients as well as dietary supplements as capsule and tablets. Daily dosage and need may vary from person to person. It is recommended to use with the healthcare professional advice.
Benefits and Effects of Biotin
There are many academic studies worldwide about benefits of biotin. Some of the information compiled from these studies are below with their references.
• Biotin has an anti-hair loss effect. (1)
• Another benefit of Biotin is that it provides stronger nails. (2)
• Biotin is a coenzyme role for the biotin carboxylase enzyme, biotin carboxylase enzymes are widely found in nature and have important functions in fatty acid metabolism, amino acid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, polypeptide biosynthesis, urea usage and other cellular processes. (3)
• Biotin helps to lower blood sugar levels by increasing glucose uptake in muscle cells with insulin production and stimulating glucokinase, an enzyme that supports glycogen synthesis in the liver. (4)
For more information about benefits of biotin, we recommend you to take advantage of scientific research. If you have a health condition or taking medication regularly, it is recommended to use it after consulting to a health professional.
